Current Position:
  Lisa Pélanne (2002) is a member of the Enology-Grape Chemistry Group whose primary responsibilities include participation in and initiation of research efforts pertinent to Virginia's grape growers and wine industries, particularly in the area of natural products chemistry.


Biographical Notes:
  Lisa received a B.S. in Biology from The College of William and Mary in 1996 and an M.S. in Immunology from Virginia Tech in 2002. Her graduate research focused on the effects of environmental pollutants on the immune system of fish, amphibian, and mammalian species. She worked for two years in the medical diagnostic industry while attending graduate school, then proceeded to pursue a career in food science. Lisa lives in Blacksburg with her husband, Philippe, and their two cats, Cassidy and Sophie.
