Enology

The Department of Food Science and Technology at Virginia Tech has a long history of providing Enology Extension to serve the needs of the Commonwealth of Virginia.  The enology extension program offers a variety of services and programs  to both new and existing wineries.  Graduate students in the department also have the opportunity to conduct research focused on fermentation-related issues including winemaking, beer brewing and fermented foods that provides additional resources for Virginia wineries.
